Oh wow, I was just thinking of creating a post earlier today on the same thing! I'm looking at the disposable battery powered ones. Are those any good? I know Sonicare > *all but was looking at going the cheap route first to see how it feels. Thanks!

Costco has coupons once in a while for this Sonicare family setup.

I went with the cheaper oral-b powered brush/head, was like 50-60 bucks I think. Your teeth will never get a scrubbing like that unless you go sonicare. I wouldn't cheap out here, it's your teeth you're talking about.

Let's put it this way, I had to get back on the dating scene many years ago...I smoke and like coffee. It was amazing what this thing did and I'm kicking myself for not using it earlier.

How will it feel? Like your teeth and gums are getting cleaned at the dentist. It will take some time for your gums go get used to it.

My Oral-B Braun one has lasted me for the last 3 years without a problem. I recommend it.

Another vote for Sonicare, although the Oral-B is pretty decent.

What do you have going on that your Dentist recommended a battery op toothbrush?

Sonicare... but I yesterday dropped mine on the tile floor (have only had it about a year) and now it doesn't work. It does have a ten year warranty that I never mailed in and have no idea where it is though.. I may enlist the help of someone who is better at fixing thngs than I am... but it is glorious besides the dropping.

Sonicare. Just buy the cheapest model, at the core, they all do the same thing, you really don't need the extra functions of the top end models. Buy it from Costco so you get 2 for the price of 1 and life time warranty when the 2nd one dies.

Same. I noticed a more polished feel on my teeth when I went with Sonic. Also, after using the Sonic for a couple of days, flakes of tarter buildup started falling off the back on my lower front teeth that the Oral-B missed.
