Recommend me a fun, mindless game (Left 4 Dead-ish)

I have the shortest attention span on the planet. I used to enjoy RPGs and strategy games, but I just can't stay interested in them. The last game I played that I enjoyed was "Left 4 Dead." I like just running around and shooting the shit out of shit.

Another game I can remember liking was "Serious Sam."

Having a decent single-player mode in addition to the multi-player is a big plus.

With that said, what game should I start playing?

Call of Duty 4/Modern Warfare (and possibly others).
Once you've finished the mostly mindless single player campaign (which is still fun), you unlock arcade mode where you can run around mindlessly shooting stuff for points to try and get a high score.

And MP is mindless shooting stuff

Dead Rising 2 is fun as well, but it's not really a shooter...just mostly mindless violence.

I've been addicted to killing floor for the last couple of weeks. This is a pure online coop game that's really fun. Basically it's a squad of 6 and you're just trying to survive waves of monsters. There's different classes too. After the last wave of zombies there's a boss monster.

Burn Zombie Burn, though it sucks that pc version has no co-op as the console version has. Just cause 2 has already been given two votes, and I can only say, this game is very fun. There is just something gratifying walking around with a big gatling gun and blowing crap up....

Lost Planet 2 is fun in lan with some friends (or online), not really a single player game.

Darksiders is fun if you have a controller (preferably an xbox 360 controller), without one it is just pain.

Agreed, just started playing it a few weeks ago and I haven't had a game hold my attention like it since BF2.

Basically GTA on a giant island with grappling hooks and a parachute you can fly with. Check it out!

The problem I'm having with JC2 is that you are limited in what you can blow up. It would be nice if there were buildings or bridges or some other things that you could lay to waste.

Killing Floor is great, I've been enjoying this with my friends lately.
Just gotta get used to everything being British.

I play it on my projector in sig on a htpc and even the wife who HATES games toys around with it...


She likes to drive over pedestrians....
