You should try LoL (League of legends), its a team play based MMO quite similar to the warcraft 3 mod DotA, Defence of the ancients. Although its been revamped and vastly improved, it maintains several main aspects such as, your character is a champion you control from a 3rd person view and you gain gold and experience by killing enemy soldiers and champions. The main goal of each match is to make it to the enemy base and destroy their nexus (main quarter).
Good things about League of legends:
Very varied game play since LoL offers more than 100 champions, as each champion has unique skills each champion features a different play style. So no matter if you want to play a stealthy assassin or just want to dish out tons of damage with the standard hardcore brute, its all there.
LoL has really nice graphics being colorful and kind of cartoonlike, lots of abilities also have unique effects.
Its a free downloadable game, though you can pay real money though to buy new character skins or various boosts to give you more experience points per game or IP (LoL currency).
Bad things about League of Legends:
The game has a quite high learning curve. You will probably die in the beginning, a lot. But if you do play the tutorial in the beginning (which takes about 15 min or so) you should get the basics quite quickly. Plus LoL is really good at giving advice for new players to help them learn faster, ex: giving recommendations on the build for a specific champion or game play advice.
