Recommend me a keyboard & mouse

Well I've been thinking of upgrading both my keyboard and mouse for a while. While I really do like my Logitech MX 500 I want something a bit more sensitive but with the same feel in my hand. I dropped by Best Buy today to see how each mouse feels in my hand. I really like the way the MX610 feels but I wonder how accurate is it compared to a 1600dpi optical mouse? I'm also looking for a better keyboard than the black Dell keyboard that I have now. Looking for something with good responsiveness and works well for gamers. Please post your recommendations and why you recommend them. I'd like to keep the budget reasonable as well so nothing like the MX1000 mouse. I don't like the fact that it's missing one of the side buttons anyways.

logitech mx-518 + logitech elite + icemant 2nd black = 1337

edit: the old logitech elite that is discontinued is the good one the new one is okay but not as good you should still be able to find a couple stores. if you wanted a good mouse the mx-510, mx-518, g5, and g7. even maybe the mx-1000 are all good mouses from what i heard i can personally tell you the mx-510 and mx-518 are great mouses but for the price get the mx-518.

I enjoy my Razer Diamondback, I have the plasma (special edition). Works well for my purposes, and glows a light blue.
