I recommend a bottle of each. The only way to solve this type of dilemma is with empirical evidence. I'll be over once you've procured the necessary test samples and together we will forge new understanding and aid the scientific process to realize our greater potential and usher in a new age of man's future destiny.

Of that list, Booker's is easily the best, but it also commands a $25 price premium over anything else you're looking at. Knob Creek is excellent as well, especially their cask strength single-barrel offering (but that's quite a bit more expensive than their entry-level, which is a fine whiskey on its own merits). Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, Evan Williams, George Dickel... they're fine, but there's a reason they cost significantly less than premium bourbons, and they're really best suited for mixing. Of those four, I'd choose the Dickel. Fighting Cock I've only had mixed and found it uninspiring, and the other two I'm unfamiliar with. So, Booker's top, Knob second, Dickel third, Evan fourth, Jack fifth, Jim sixth. Buffalo Trace and Elijah Craig are good inexpensive sippers as well if you're looking for something slightly cheaper than Knob but better than mixing tier.

I can't stand the taste of Whiskey. I'm almost convinced that people who say they like Whiskey, just say it to sound cool. They secretly can't stand the taste of it either.. lol

Maybe I just ened to try a nice bottle.

Nooo its like... they just enjoy being sick after drinking. Go with the people who actually consume a ton of alcohol and assume they know what they are doing... more of a vodka man myself

I use to sip on Jack Daniels and play GTA. LOL The best part was inhalling the fumes from the bottle when it was gone.

Fuck Jack Daniels. Use that to clean the toilet. I like Knob Creek. Old Forester is a great bang/buck bourbon, and if you see a bottle of Pikesville rye, get it. It's low end; about $12 a bottle, but tastes twice as expensive. It's almost a poor man's Irish.

Are those charcoal mellowed?

No. If it's "charcoal mellowed", it isn't bourbon. The rye isn't either. I think that technique is particular to Jack Daniels, and perhaps Dickel. I don't think anyone else does it.

Ah, I like JD for the charcoal mellowed flavor. Winter Jack should be out soon. Honey Jack is good too.

Wild Turkey 101
Makers Mark
George Dickel White Label
Gentleman Jack

I also despise regular Jack Daniels. It's the only liquor that I remember giving away.

I also like Canadian Club Classic which is a blended Canadian whiskey. It's very similar to Crown Royal and tastes great with diet Pepsi.

The label is black because one day Mr. Daniels was trying to access something in his safe and kicked it and broke his toe. He got gangrene and died hence why the label is black.
