recommend me some games

As you can see, for the last 6 years I've stuck mainly to the classics.

Generally, all the games I play are multiplayer over the internet.

What recent games would you guys recommend based on my gaming history?

Agreed. It's far too easy to spend hrs. playing & then realize how late it is, or how the whole afternoon is gone...

I also really love the mod servers (or actual mods), which IMO, add so much diversity to the game.

Star Wars Republic Commando.

Feels a little short so far, played it nearly solid the past day and a half on Hard mode.

Excellent fun. Feels repetitive but has a certain atmosphere and realism. Unfortunately, Im not overly impressed with how well the game immerses you into the Star Wars universe, the sounds are well done but just dont feel fully Star Wars.

At least its a good Star Wars game (rare), you dont have to put up with the Lightsabre (done to death imo) and there so far are no Jedi's ie. no force powers (another overly abused part of Star Wars games).

Havent played a squad game quite like it.

I say UT2k4 aswell. I re-bought this at Target for $10 a few weeks ago and the online play is awesome. Onslaught mode is a blast to play. There's a Vehicle CTF mode that can be fun too in certain maps. Also, don't forget about the make something unreal contest which produced some very high quality mods like FragOps and Red Orchestra that are full conversions of the game.

Well i can say that the hitboxes seem messed up beyond regular cs. Guys crouching can take direct shots to the face from 10ft away :frown:

How bout Halflife 2 anyway Azzy? That's worth it and you get CSS free.

Dawn of War is cool if you can get used to the resource system. Plenty of multiplayer action, matching system just like bnet. Single player blows though, imo.

KOTOR I & II +++++

I just finished KOTOR a couple months ago - granted I am behind the times, but it blew me away. IMHO a must for any gamer, moreso yourself though based on your gaming history. Star Wars or not, just a great amount of fun to be had there.

Multiplayer I have TU2004 and Battlefield Vietnam are really fun in multiplayer and you can find them really cheap !!

Ever tried Soldat?

It's free, small, and a blast to play. The graphics are NOT impressive, but the fun-factor overrules that, in my opinion.

If you're a fan of Quake give it a try. My favorite FPS is Quake1(QW) and this has a lot of the intensity of that.

Another RTS you might be interested in is Rise of Nations. As for FPS, if you're on older hardware, perhaps look into RTCW: Enemy Territory. Team objective based online shooter, entirely free. If you're looking FPS with a story line, give Riddick or HL2 a go. Both have excellent graphics.
