i got mine for my focus for £25

they rock, perfect contact across the entire blade, they clear water away perfectly and reduce wind noise on the motorway

I have the Valeo Ultimates on my car now. They are great! I got them end of '06 when Tire Rack had a BOGO special.

I typically recommend the neon-green dual wiper blades with the little square fins...

Anco brand (around $5-6 at Wally World) is what I've always used. They usually last a few years before I have to change them. I actually just purchased some new ones last Saturday and picked up some Michelin brand since they were out of Anco. I wouldn't invest a small fortune in wiper blades, just follow the K.I.S. rule.

Anco is crap.
I like my Bosch.
Heard good stuff about PIAA as well.

Hmm, I've always had good experiences with the Anco brand. I'll have to give the Bosch brand a try on my truck and see what all the hype is about.

I tried many different wiper blades, experimenting from the very cheap to some of the most expensive.

I've found that the Bosch Microedge Excel blades work the best by far. I've never used the Rain-X solution (although I have tried their blades).

You, my friend, have obviously never see what a quality wiper blade can do.

I've had a pair of Silblades on my car since 2004. In 2005 or 2006 the plastic clip holding the blade to the arm broke off and I wrote them and they sent me a couple of replacements. They should be good for another 2 years.

What a quality blade can do is cost 4 times as much as a cheap blade and only last twice as long. Cheap ANCO blades get the glass just as clean as BOSCH Icon blades.

I do usually try to find wipers that are all-metal instead of the plastic frame ones, but aside from that, they're pretty much all the same. Clean, streak-free performance for 4-6 months and then junk.
