Recommend me *TWO* new PSU's

Ok, so I've got another thread in the Tech Support forum here about the problems I'm having with my A8N setup. The solution that was offered to me was that while I have a good PSU (Antec Neopower 480W), a switch to a single rail PSU will solve my problems, as apparently it has many others who have had the same setup.
Specs for above comp:
MOBO: A8N-SLI Deluxe
CPU: 3200+ Athlon 64
Video Card: 256MB 6800GT
RAM: 2x512 Corsair Valueselect
PSU: Antec Neopower 480W

The comp I was using before this has a pretty old 330W that isn't a great brand and I believe has died (Comp freezes after about 3-5 minutes of running fine, which apparently points to PSU problems).

Anyways, the new comp with the A8N needs a good, single rail PSU with a 24 pin connector.

The old comp needs an upgrade over the 330W that has a 20 pin connector.

If you guys could recommend me a replacement for each, I would greatly appreciate it.

i don't get it. does asus require a single rail psu? that neo is a good psu. hell it runs dfi sli-drs which are probably the most power hungry boards around.

i pulled some of your specs from your other thread but you really should list them here so people will know what you need.

and dual rails, antecs anyway, are divided so that the 12v2 handles nothing but the cpu and the 12v1 handles the rest.

It doesn't require but apparently switching to single rail has solved alot of peoples problems (As the poster said in the other thread).

I'm not sure exactly why it is that I need a single rail PSU for the other comp, but apparently I do. I mean, it's not a RAM issue (I've tested compatible RAM on it), I highly doubt its a MOBO issue, and I'm in the process of RMA'ing the video card right now. If when I get my video card back the problem is solved then perhaps that was all that was wrong, but I'd like to at least know what sort of PSU I should get to replace in case the problem still occurs.

did you do what mech suggested with the ram?

honestly, a poster here just picked up a neo power 480 to solve his instability issues. and he has some mad oc'ing going on a similar sytem, dfi though.

Yeah, I tried upping to 2.7 with my Valueselect RAM and the XMS RAM. Still had problems.

See, I'm not OC'ing, I haven't yet and I probably never will (But we'll see). I don't see what else the problem could be if the video card isn't the problem. It almost has to be a PSU issue, or I dunno.

EDIT: At the very least could I get a recommendation for the 20pin? That's the one that I'm going to be replacing sooner.

EDIT2: Ok so after doing some poking around I did find a good single rail PSU that was mentioned in the other thread Antec 550W Truecontrol but the problem is that it seems to have a 20 pin connector, and this MOBO takes a 24 pin connector. Is there some sort of convertor thing I could buy? Or am I just SOL. I mean, it's really confusing why switching to a single rail PSU would help my comp, since dual rail is clearly the better PSU.

Try the Epower/Tangan 480 watt power supply. 28 amps on the 12 volt, and also has a 36 month garentee.

Maybe you could put the neopower in the system that needs a 20 pin and get a solid 24 pin psu for your first rig. There are 24 to 20 pin adapters(maybe the neopower came with one?) so the neopower can run the second system.

Check these out:

Here is a Zippy 700W P/S with 36A on the 12v rail. 24pin ATX connector and SATA connectors to boot. If you view the photo of the cables, you can count 12 wires per side on the ATX connector:

Zippy 700W

Here is a 600W version, same specs (+12V, 36A). This one's a bit cheaper:
