I've decided on all but three parts for my new computer and would like some recommendations. Here are the parts I've decided on already.
CPU: E6400 - $222
MB: GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 v3.3 - $123
RAM: OCZ Platinum Rev2 2GB DDR2 800 - $155
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB - owned
CASE: Antec 900 - owned
LCD: Dell 2005FPW - owned
I was told I should replace my old Ultra V Series 500W PSU. I plan to OC my CPU to 3.2GHz. I'll be gaming at 1680x1050. Here's what I have in mind for my remaining three parts.
PSU:
1: SeaSonic S12-430 - $90
2: SeaSonic M12 SS-500HM - $125
3: ENERMAX Liberty ELT500AWT - $115
GPU: EVGA 8800GTS 320MB Superclocked - $300
HSF: Thermaltake Big Typhoon - $47
I'm planning on buying soon and would like to weed out any possible oversights on my slection. There are so many PSUs to consider and I'm not sure if it's worth spending $300 on a 8800GTS rather than just getting a cheap GPU for now and waiting for DX10 card prices to lower.
All help is appreciated.
