That's a pretty broad generalization. I mean...you've never listened to Tool? What kind of music do you normally listen to? Are you looking for top 40 rock? Classic Rock? If you've never heard Tool, does that mean you've never heard of Korn, Godsmack, Led Zepplin? lol...just seems very vague.

Rakim, Nas, Kool G Rap, Canibus, Redman, Wu Tang, BCC, etc. Late 80's early 90's hip hop

I've heard some Led Zeppelin, pretty dope. I remember that Korn/Limp Bizkit stuff in the 90s.. wasn't too into it though..

Hmmm...well...i listen to a bit of everything. Hip hop mainly. Maybe a hybrid to start? Like Gym Class Heroes? That's hip hop and rock combined (IMO).

Zepp is the shiznit. The Doors...anything by them. That's the classic rock stuff you need to know. Honestly, anything by Nirvana as well. The Rolling Stones. YOu have to have had some exposure to that kind of stuff though...i hope.
