Recommend teeth whitening products please

So Im looking for teeth whitening products any suggestions?

I went to the dentist and had some trays made and they gave me some dentist strength gel that did the trick over a week. Cost about $180.

I was going to go to the laser system but it was $600.

:thumbsup: This is very effective. The downside is that your teeth can be a little sensitive for a while after.

On the off chance you know... how will that stuff affect crowns, if at all? I have a few, and I thought I understood that the crowns were made to match the color of the rest of your teeth, but they couldn't be whitened if you decided to do that later.

In prison they take some toothpaste, put it in toilet paper and chew on it.

Supposedly it works very well because of the chemical reaction of the baking soda and whatever is in the toilet paper...

I am going to try it because I have seen some inmates with some damn bright teeth.

I would say your best option is professional bleaching or laser stuff. The do it at home kits breaks down the enamel on your teeth like others have said causing more problems later on. I don't know what people's obsession with white teeth is, it's like the most basic form of plastic surgery, as there no way a normal person at the age of 35 would have teeth that white.

White teeth are tied with a youthful appearance. Everyone wants to stay young as long as possible. I also agree with the dentist. Watch out on the 22% bleaching compound it will really make your teeth sensitive. The 16% takes longer but far less sensitivity.

I've got a professional system, but I can never stay with it long since I get canker sores down my throat from the chemicals that leak out. I might start again soon after seeing this thread and just put a lot less of the gel on.

To be honest, i think theres a certain point where people make their teeth so white it looks horrible. Keep it real, but yeah, if yours are light or dark yellow/brown, seek some help.

I have a Colgate bleech kit from my dentist It was like $125. I had already done the molds for a crown I had done so they did the trays off of them saved me some cash. The refill tubes run $30.

I use it about 1 a year now as I have dazzling white teeth. LOL
