scope, the mouthwash. but seriously, here's my deal with old spice: my grandparents gave me this old hawaiian shirt that had been sitting in their attic for about 20 years. i wanted to wear it but the thing stunk real bad. i put a good dousing of polo sport on it, and ended up smelling like old spice. guess that's where the name came from. i tend to not wear cologne, but i have some polo sport in reserve just in case

Those store in the Malls that carry nothing but perfums sometimes have it also. Hard to find.

Another vote for Axe (despite it being a "body-spray". First time I wore it around my gf she went crazy for it. Anytime I want I now know how to "make the mood right", just spray on a little Axe (the Orion scent, as opposed to Tsunami, or any of the other ones)...

Here's my tip, read the responses you get, find the ones that are most often mentioned, and avoid those like the plague. Sure, Acqua di Gio, Cool Water, Polo Sport, et al smell good, but they're so ubiquitous that people can identify them from the smell. The whole point of cologne is to make you stand out, not blend in with everybody else; so find something that suits your personal tastes. Go to a nice department store, ask the salesmen for some help, and find what smells best for you. Then go back home and order it from scentiments.com or perfumebay.com to save a lot of money

I currently have a bottle of Hugo Boss that I think is pretty good but I like my Pleasures much more.

After I'm done with both bottles I'm going to get a bottle of Dunhill.

Acqua Di Gio might be popular here, but it's still one of the colognes i get the most compliments on. I agree with Cool Water though, EVERYBODY seems to wear that. Polo Sport was popular years ago, but it's less popular now... at least from my experience. Never get CK stuff though.

On a similar note, anyone find any "bootleg colognes" that really smell exactly like the originals? I'm a ck one / polo sport fan myself but haven't been able to buy a new bottle ever since I lost my job..

No, the fake stuff are always crap im my experience. We get people peddling the stuff here in the summer, and they never smell the same... or even in some washrooms, there are vending machines that sell the crap, and that's what they are... crap. Get a bottle, it'll last you forever. At least they do for me.
