Recommendation for MOBO to replace Gigabyte 965P-DS3

I've had problems with the DS inability to hold any OC after a shutdown or restart period. I was running my E6600 @ 3.060 (9 X 340) 4-4-4-12 core temp 36 39 idle
core temp 52 53 load CPU Vcore 1.375
DDR2 = 2.1, PCI-E = 102, Mem mult = 2, +0.1v to MCH,FSB, PCI-E
I ran orthos with these settings for 8 hours the highest the temps got with full load was 54,
should be stable right? After trying to devise a strategy to acheive a 3.2 OC after I come home boot up the system and it's back at default 9 X 266. I ended up flashing the MOBO to F11, disconnected my IDE devices and checked the rails on my PSU and everything checked out.
I then replaced the battery with my 4 year battery from my ASUS P4C800 DLX board and the OC held for 6 hours until the board drained that battery too.
any suggestions on a new board?? Just looking for board that will do a mild OC and that is compatible with Geil DD2 800 memory.

Take a serious look at the DFI Infinity S965-S it is a very well built MB

Is it compatible with my DDR2 800 Geil RAM, I hear those boards are picky with the ram otherwise they won't even boot.

I have had good luck with my trusty old DS3 Rev.1 with my E6400@3600 running stable for months. However, the rev. 3.3 boards do seem to be having some issues. That battery-draining problem doesn't sound too good! Maybe it doesn't like the Geil ram, I have only been using Mushkin with mine which works very well. Have you considered the new Gigabyte N650SLI-DS4 ? The VR-Zone review on this board looked very positive.
Price-wise, it's a lot cheaper than the 680I boards but seems to offer the same performance.

So many new motherboard available around the bend and the initial results of the P35 boards lead me to believe that current 975 and 965 boards will be on FIRE sale in the coming months so if you could live with the Ds3 for another month or two you may be able to get a stryker for 99 bucks lol-

im exaggerating-

Either these current motherboards are gonna be cheap or the budget p35 boards are gonna be that much better-win-win

I ordered mine from eXtremePCgear.com and it will be here in the next 2 days. They shipped same day I ordered it, so can't complain there. Also sent me email updates throughout the process so I would know the status of my order. Haven't seen how well things are packaged yet, but I am betting it will be fine.

ASUS P5K Deluxe up and running, rock solid @ 3.2 Ghz (8 X 404) Vcore 1.385,

I had it running stable at 3.6 for 10 hrs on orthos but decided to start with a 3.2 OC and adjust it later as time goes on and the bios version get mature.

running bios 0123, could not find any release notes for version 0304 so I didn't flash to it.
