recommendations for some good books

For action/thriller/suspense I would recommend:

Anything by Stephen Coontz, I would suggest the Deep Black series, the First one is just Deep Black.

Also anything by James Rollins. My favorites from Rollins would be Ice Hunt and Deep Fathom.

If you like scifi with a distinct military edge, check out John Ringo's books. He's got some great series out there.

I'm reading the Hitchhikers Guide series right now by Douglas Adams if you like sci fi. It's really pretty hillarious. The movie was awful but the books are great.

if you like that, you'd probably like the Discworld series of books by Terry Pratchett. pretty much the same type of thing except its a fantasy world that parodies our world.

Have about 20 pages left on the Ultimate Hitchhikers guide.

I recently read 'The Tipping Point' by Malcolm Gladwell (Non-Fiction) and found it extremely informative. You can quote several theories from the book and impress your friends
