Recommendations for speakers vs. soundbar

About half of this thread isn't OT. Why stop now?

For those that added their input, thanks and I appreciate it. My wife can get the $599 klipsch soundbar at about $250, and after talking about it with each other, I think that's the route we are going to go.

Total was a bit over $500. I just set them up today, so I can't give a final review, but I'm really impressed with the range of the speakers so far. Can't believe how low and loud they can get for their size.

Interesting, I bought a Pioneer center channel a bit over a year ago that is Andrew Jones for $99 bucks on sale at the time. Still shows his name on the box I guess, but isn't mentioned in the description any more.

Those ELAC bookshelf speakers look really nice for the price.

Those and that amp together you'd always have room to expand it also, of course.

Bought one of these amps awhile back myself, it's Sony but I had an older one that went out after years that I was more than happy with.

Denon is always nice of course.
