Recommendations for trip plans? England, France, Spain

Im flying into London with a friend and visiting France and Spain for 2.5 weeks. I'm pretty sure I want to visit Paris and Barcelona but don't really have a clue of what other cities to see or specifics of what to do yet. Any recommendations? This will be at the beginning of May...

go with eurostar from london to paris. once you are in paris, it is better for you to fly to barcelona than taking train. you may want to hit amsterdam which is a few hours train ride from paris and then fly from amsterdam to barcelona. for the last leg, just fly from barcelona back to london
