I have the Samsung 900NF at the office and at home I use a 19 inch Sony, for the money you can't beat the Samsung (there's also a rebate). The Sony does have a better picture, but I don't think it's enough to justify the price difference and the Samsung looks sleeker and less blocky. My brother-in-law uses a viewsonic PF? (19 inch perfectly flat) that he purchased a few months ago, when he saw the Samsung, he couldn't believe I paid under $600 Canadian for it, as he was looking at the same monitor when he bought his, but opted for the viewsonic as it was cheaper (he thinks the picture is nicer on the Samsung). I would highly recommend the Samsung, unless money is no object and you simply "need" to have the best there is, then I would say go for a Sony. I am making the above assumptions based on monitors that use the flat screen (or trinitron) tubes as I like them better than curved tubes, even for text. If flat screens isn't your bag, I have no advice as I haven't used a non flat screen for a number of years now.
