I'm looking for a new case. I want to upgrade to a dual athlon system this summer, so I need tons of expansion room. I would also like to make some case mods. I also know that most dual athlon boards will have SCSI controllers with possiblity of RAID options, so hot swapablity would be nice too.
Here is what I have looked at so far:
Addtronics 7896A
Casedge Workgroup Server
Inwin R2000
Inwin Q500 or Q700

Any comments ideas or suggestions would be great.

Chenbro Net (cube) Series. I got one from Jim Hanson and I've been so pleased w/it, I've been advertiseing them both when ever I get the chance. I never do that for anything I have to fork over hard earned greens but it's that good. I got a Supermicro 370DE6 comming in tomorrow just for this case. (too bad I didn't pick up the cpus yet :frown

Thanks for the recommendations guys. I looked at all of them and really like the Antec 1030 and the Aopen HX08.
Do any of you know if you can mod or get the Antec, Aopen, or Q500 with a hotswap bay?

Anything but Antec. The Inwin cases are quite nice, and reasonably priced. I own two Elan Vital T-10 cases that are very high quality, extremely easy to work with, and have excellent cooling. You'd probably be able to find one for $50-$60 US, and it might even include a quality power supply like Sparkle. BTW, Elan Vital is partly owned by Asus (not know for great support, but they do produce an excellent product).

I know some might suggest SX830 or 1030 but I would still say Chenbro Genie is an awesome case.

I had looked deeply into Addtronics 7896A (new version w/120mm), but seems like Genie fitted my need since it's not too tall and the built quality and material used are really the best.

If not Genie, then I would go for 7896A, it's really easy to mod and it's a solid case.

I will be going with the Addtronics 7896A as long as it is possible to mod it to take a hotswap bay. If it can't be modified to do that then I will be getting an Inwin Q500. Thanks for your help.

Maybe you guys can answer one more question. Would it be possible to mod Addtronics case to accept a hotswap bay? I think the case is wide enough but I'm worried about the depth required to do that kind of mod. Any thoughts on that.

I paid $72 for my Q500, from Multiwave. I picked it up in person, though, so I saved on shipping.
