Recommended 21" or 22" Monitor?

I currently have a ViewSonic A90 19" monitor, and I can only run at 1280 x 1024 using a decent refresh rate. When trying to run at 1600 x 1200, I can only run at 60 Hz (which results in some noticeable flicker). So I've been thinking about upgrading to a larger display. What are some recommended 21" or 22" monitors? Is going from 22" from 19" better than going to 21"? If the price difference between 21 and 22 is small, then I'd obviously go for the larger monitor. But I'd like to pay as little as possible.

This display would be used for standard Windows stuff and gaming. I'm no graphics professional, so the top-end stuff is not needed. I'm also only interested in CRT's, not LCD's (which are still way too expensive), and I want to be able to run at 1600 x 1200 at a decent refresh rate (~ 75 Hz). Any ideas?

NEC/Mitsu make some great 22" screens that are affordable. Some use the shadow mask CRT's with the eliptical holes that give you the brightness and color clarity of the aperature grill/Trinitron tubes but have the sharpness of a regular shadowmask.

I'd still say my trinitron is a tad bit brighter but the sharpness on the Mitsu is great...even at the edges where 21/22" tubes are usuallly weak.

or dimondtron. just find one someplace with easy return if there is an issue and look for the resolutions you are after and a good waranty.

Another vote for Mitsubishi/Nec. I had a Mit. 2020u that was fantastic, except for the fact that it weighed over 70 lbs. Both 21" & 22" have about a 20" viewing area.

I would buy the Sony CPD-G520P. You can get it at dell.com for $632.20 with free shipping. MSRP is $800. Here's a link: G520P BTW, the picture on dells site is not the G520P. Here's what it actually looks like: This is a very nice looking monitor for a big CRT.

This monitor has very good refresh rates at high resolutions.
