Added a Cel 400 today!

Most of my geek freinds are already cracking though.

I do know more people with computers though! I'll recruit non-geeks. :Q

Dan,
<One new living breathing PERSON per week. - means we all must crawl out of our geek-dens and actually talk to real-live people>

Do they actually have to be BREATHING?

Way to go people! There's a lot of humour in ure postings, and that's why i read them ofcourse...

But Dan has a point here. To regain momentum, U all should be getting more ppl interested (be it dead or alive )
It's the same strategy we work with actualy, and somewhat succesfull at it.. Only difference is: We don't make money with it... lol
DanC... U sure there are NO Dutch in ure family line??? (making money while doing something for a cause has to be a Dutch trade..... )

Keep on cracking all, make Dnet suffer with incomming blocks......

As S@H'er I'd like to contribute. I have a Shuttle LX based board that works with a floopy, but not with HD. Thus it doesn't help with my Win9x network. If it will help anyone on the TeAm in the fight against the Dutch, I'll send it AND pay the shipping. This board maxes out at PII-333.

Please don't misconstrue my comments - the bet was not about making money. It's about my faith in TA. I KNOW we can do this. There's a tendency to be complacent about growth because we may have added a machine of our own, or built a crack-rack, etc.

The real growth comes from the asslamination on non-geeks quite frankly. Non-geeks can become geeks when they get interested in something. We weren't born geeks - well, ok some of us were - but not all.

JWM has made a dandy offer folks - no takers? If not... I'll be delighted to add to my crack-rack - But I would insist on paying shipping.

I haven't assimilated anything or anybody yet, but as I get ready to head off to my sister plant in WCH, Ohio, I am faithfully packing "The Disk".....

Update: My boss allowed (for payment of fixing his home PC) an installation of the client on his home PC....Not sure of the hours of operation, but its a Dell 800MHz Pentium III. He didn't want to mess with it under his e-mail so I set up the client to run under the Federation

JWM - I'm going to respectfully decline. There are other members of the forum who could really use a boost. I think it'd only be fair to give it to one of them.

I do appreciate the thought though

C'mon guys - you've hit me in a rare soft-Borg moment. Who will expand their herd for RC5?

Hey, make sure that mobo only takes up to a PII-333. This mobo only takes a PII up that far, but with special jumper combo's I can use a C433 in it.

I'll add a c2-600 @ 750 and a celey 466 @ 525 If someone lets me know what to do, and not yell at me for being a dummy when it comes to these things...:|

BTW both run 24/7 don't know how well they will do but... TA can use a little help to kick them DPC

danzigrules,

Simply download the one of the two top client disks on this page, the ones specific to TA Cube, unzip it to a floppy and run setup from the floppy. You can choose either the version with the cow or the invisible version. Just reboot and you're cracking as a Borg. Assimilation easier than a Jello pudding.

You would make a great Borg and I'm sure you'd enjoy the inner power that comes with that.

Dan feels that someone else should get the board and that is fine. It would be best used by someone with a crackrack already in production. I'd like it to go to someone cracking RC5 as my way of contributing to that project. So, does anyone fit that bill. The board only has two speeds. 60 and 66. Don't know why it has 60 Mhz as it was never used with a PII. I tested it with a Cel300a and it worked fine at 300 MHz. It would not boot from the HD, so I thought the HD might be bad. So, I tried another drive...still no luck. Then I tried the first drive (1.2 GB) on another board and it worked fine. The BIOS will recognize the board, but it will not boot. Back when I first installed it in my Daughter's computer it worked, but would not FDISK a HD. Strange!!! Anyway, let me know.

Go TeAm!

JWM - Let us not forget though that it is not necessary to run a crackrack to use Klinux - it would flush to dnet just fine without going through a keyserver.

Danzigrules. I think that you indeed need to uninstall the one you have now before installing the preconfigured client. If you have already cracked a substantial number of blocks, you can always retire your old address into TA Cube through the DNet site. That's what I did.

Cheers

Actually, I believe TaCube is maxed out as far as retiring blocks into it... Otherwise we'd show at some 11 Million. Dnet only allows eight addresses to be retired in. But - no worries!
