Recycle Bin always shows as empty.

I recently reformatted my HD (for the 5th or 6th time). Unlike before, my recycle bin now always shows empty. It's properties do not have the "Do not move files to the recycle Bin" checked. I have only one hard drive with a single partitian. I can't think of how to get the contents to display - assuming things I sent there do go there to begin with. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance. Ron

I had the something like the same problem as you. But my recycle bin was showing full all though there was nothing there. I fixed it by reselecting which icons I want to use as the 'recycle bin'. That fixed that problem for me at least. I take it you do see deleted files in the recycle bin all though it shows nothing in there.

You have to set it up with TWO icons - one for full and one for empty. Mine is a crapper - - one with an empty bowl and the other with a pile of doo-doo. My wave file for delete sound is a flushing toilet.

Hmm, I'm having the same problem with a variation. I have 4 drives and the Recycle bin is confined to 2GB of one drive. However it not only shows as empty - it is empty. I have tried moving to different drives, same result - it reads as zero bytes and contains no files.
