Good luck trying to sleep. If you've had a lot of RB's & Vodka, you've got a lot of caffeinne in your system. Caffeinne - upper, Alcohol - downer = your body all messed up. I never was one to get into those fashionable fancy hip drinks. Bourbon and Coke for me.

Burbon and Coke = Alcohol & Caffeine = Red Bull and Vodka

Good point, Locut0s. But RedBull's got a much bigger caff kick than Coke does. But yeah, you're right...apples and apples.

Diet drinks speed up delivery of alcohol to your bloodstream compared to normal coke. But I guess if you don't drink much or have a high tolerance it doesn't matter.

I had an afternoon of RBVs with my brother-in-law while on vacation a couple years back. It was my first experience with Red Bull. I kept the sleepiness of the vodka at bay a little too well; I was up well into the night - on top of being horribly jetlagged from flying to South Africa from the states the day before.

My schedule was screwed for the better part of 4 days.

One time I was drinking Rockstar and vodka, just sitting outside with the wife at our fire pit. She was sipping wine, I was trying the Rockstar/vodka combo. Well, we were out there for a couple hours just enjoying the summer night, when I realized that my heart felt like it was punching my sternum with every beat. I didn't think of it, and didn't realize it, as we were just enjoying a quiet night that I had gone through 2.5 cans of 16oz Rockstar. Ever since that night I strongly limit my intake of energy drinks.
