Only 3 more days then...well, here's a 4 point checklist so I won't be surprised:
1. What's the spotting method, if there even is one that equates to Battlefield?
2. Is running slow and does stamina run out fast?
3. Can you jump?
4. Anything stupid like killcam?
1. There is spotting, but it's not the 3d wallhack spotting from bc2. You have to press T to bring up a tactical view that puts text on your screen that says "Rifleman Spotted 100m." That text doesn't move to follow the player that was spotted so you really have no idea where they actually are.
2. Running speed seems perfect for the size of the map, and at first stamina runs out fast, but as your soldier changes from a green recruit to a "hero of stalingrad" your stamina and other stats build up. Just like they would for a real soldier as they gain skill and become battle hardened.
3. You can jump, but not high. You mantle walls, and crawl through windows. It doesn't work perfectly all the time, but very rarely does it leave you frustrated with your inability to climb over something you should be able to climb over. They have been using beta feedback to fix spots on maps that don't work correctly.
4. No killcam, but there is a killed from location cam that can be turned on by server admins. I've only played on a couple servers that actually use it. Believe me in this game you'll actually want the killed from location cam. In the full blown realism servers it won't even tell you who killed you... Can get very frustrating when you are peeking around a piece of cover for a long time say. Ok it's safe to move up, and then die instantly from some rifleman you couldn't see.
This game has the potential to actually be better than Battlefield 3 based on what I've played in the beta. Not saying that through any experience I have with BF3, but rather with how great RO2 currently is. BF3 could be better, but I have to wait to the end of september and the beta to decide.
