Can you stay on one map with the same team more or less or does is mix everything up at games end?

Can you team spawn like in Bad Company? Do you at least spawn on your side of the map? or do you spawn in some kind of circular thing like in modern warefare?

Team kill is opt in or opt out?

If you played America's Army 2 ... is it like that game? as far as character control.

Yes if the server is configured like that.

You can spawn on your squad leader. You spawn at specified spawn points on your side of the map in territory and countdown mode, or by your teammates in firefight (team deathmatch) mode.

If you played America's Army 2 ... is it like that game? as far as character control.

The guns are similar, one shot and you're dead most of the time. However the movement is faster and doesn't really feel the same from what I recall of AA2.

Not sure about you guys but I got a MASSIVE increase in FPS today. I went from 20-50 fps on mixed settings from Ultra to low to mid to high.... to 60-110 on the same settings.

Also, anyone who says that COD UO was casual in comparison is wrong. I welcome you to reinstall that game. It has more recoil that RO2 does by far. Insane amounts of recoil that I don't remember it having at all because I used to be so good at controlling it.

That's correct. I have it installed and play it often. Recoil is crazy also with "fire" effect and recoil is bigger than RO2 or even DODS.

People just have to remember that COD/COD UO does not = arcade, everything past that does.

I believe they released a patch.

Yesterday my experience improved as well. Much more playable and smooth. I turned up the settings to High and was getting 40fps.

One thing you can count on with Tripwire is support.

I am running the rig in my sig...on a 1900x1080 monitor...

my fps average generally in the mid 30's but on some maps they can dip down into the teen's.

I am running it on medium settings...

Anything I can shut off or modify in the video settings to get better performance?

turn everything down. Turn off AA, turn off Bloom, turn off Depth of Field, Turn shadows to low. Biggest thing you can do is turn off Frame Rate Smoothing. Disable Vsync.

Game will look better (Takes away some of the annoying haze and glare.) and handle much better as well.

I too noticed this.

Am I the only person who thinks this game has great graphics? Turn the occlusion setting to high and crank everything else up and it looks great and there is less texture pop.

In general it just seems like the textures are poorly done. They all look somewhat blurry and/or low res to me. I have all settings maxed out.

I noticed bunch of Autodesk logos when the game starts. I've been out of engineering for good 10+ years and all but last time I checked Autodesk = crap.

Not sure if things have changes. I have a feeling they do some 3d modeling/design for the game.

If above is true.....its not a good thing.

But again, graphics is not what this game is about.

Yep, at first I was disappointed

Yesterday and day before it just ran smoother for me and I really enjoyed it.

just don't tell me graphics are "cutting edge" cause they are NOT. Everyone on Tripwire forums seems to think "they are better than Bad Company 2" or some kind of new graphics milestone.

When all I see is something MAYBE on par with World at war, heck not even...maybe COD2 or something.

Graphics/physics are just outdated, but I can get pass that.

EDIT: A different map is like playing a totally different game mode and for that reason, I am not a fan of big maps .

RO2 is MUCH faster than RO1.

Are you talking movement, or were you playing countdown? The game modes vary.

If y'all noticed it is not supposed to be BF3 . It has awesome suppression effects . It has better support than SplashDamage with half the crew working on it.

It takes time , the UE3. is not a Frostbite 2.5 , although it does use lightmass for GI. the only thing UE3.25 has going for it is the the toolset for devs and modders.

I dunno , I'm having fun with it .

3rd day 7/10

If they fix some bugs (which aren't really major) I would give it 9/10

Once the custom mods start being cranked out, it has potential to be 10/10.

I have high hope, but the game is really cool IMO. Just have to give it time. More you play more you start enjoying it.
