Redhat 8 / Sendmail Question

Does anyone know how to change the senders address domain-wide on sendmail?

ie:
The Hostname of my server is "linuxtest", when I send an email, it comes from "syran@linuxtest".
I'd like to change this so that it can from "syran@employee.abc.com", or something like that, without changing the host name.

Any ideas?

Take alook into domain masqerading or the outgoing address generics entrys for the M4 cfg file. there is documentation for it on the sendmail site.

both ways will achieve what you are after.

You may also get away with adding the various hostnames to the local-host file in /etc/mail

Then use a more adept mail client such as pine and specify your display address.
