I just wish we had a better grip on a measurable method to describe impairment levels, as we obviously have for alcohol.
They could probably just hold up a bag of cookies and note the person's reaction.

All kidding aside, weed actually helps many people focus and/or perform certain tasks better.

It really just boils down to acceptance.

My last 2 employers were large Big 4 accounting firms. They actively encourage drinking - including during the working day practically.

Plenty of events such as St. Patrick's day they would serve green beer + wine. Lunch outings with drinks, etc.

At very minimal, they don't even blink an eye when I traveled for work and would charge a $60 tab for dinner + drinks.

The hard stuff lol.
Maybe I should try that. I have pain issues. Sometimes I can't sleep because of shoulder issue, maybe extending into my upper back (clavicle?). I tried getting high a month or so ago and it didn't seem to help. Maybe if I kept it up it would. I am not in the habit, I seem to be super sensitive. One good hit and I feel kinda zonked! It's weird.

Yeah cbd oil is good for arthritis inflammation and stuff like that but for serious pain you need something with THC in it.
They even sell tincture drops if you don't want to smoke. I've got a bottle for those days I need to give my lungs a rest.

Finally, someone using the thread for its intended purpose. I just got back into the sport now that I can buy it legally. Started with flower since I didn't know anything about concentrates from being away so long. Got 3.5g of Ghost Train Haze and 5x1.0g preroll Indica multipack, which was the max you could purchase for adult use the week they opened. Also grabbed a pack of edibles but not really impressed with those.

After my first few sessions with an old pipe I had laying around I decided to look into vaporizers. Settled on a Firefly2 and love the thing. Way more efficient than just smoking, plus way less lung damage, AND you can sprinkle the vaped bud into peanut butter crackers for your own homemade edibles.

Then I looked into concentrates, bought some oil, and it will probably be a long time before I buy flower again. So convenient and very little smell.

My favorite strain of flower so far is Triple OG, followed closely by Master Kush. The oil I have now is Clementine, which is not bad at all.

As I recall Ns1 was well-versed in the subject, but he doesn't seem to be around so much lately.

8.5 oz. is over half a pound of weed. I salute you for the strength of your lungs. Most regular smokers don't go through more than 1/4 to 1/2 oz. per week. How long did it take you to smoke half a pound?

Absolutely I need another vaporizer for daily smoking. I had a happy vappy vape a long time ago but the ones they got out now are a whole lot better.

<----- MS patient, 18 yrs in electric wheelchair
BloomVape .5g indica oil cartridges (Skywalker, Granddaddy Purple) for GI/Colon spasticity

I'm a retired A&P mechanic so I was out of the loop from '80 until I retired in 2005. The science and research of cannabis is amazing.

Yeah I was out from the early 2000s until last November. It's a whole new world now. Right around the time I stopped a friend of mine had just gotten a vaporizer and I remember wondering if it actually worked. Never got to try it though. Now you can dial in exact temperatures with the Bluetooth app connected to the device in your pocket.

I'd expect testing for government work but the laws are going to have to change to keep up. A positive test for marijuana doesn't mean anything to anyone like other drug tests do because when you test positive it doesn't mean you are currently under the influence. The test is meaningless.

Yep ... Go on a weekend meth-bender pee clean a few days later.

Smoke a few bong-hits or a fat joint and (depending on the person) you could test dirty for over a month!

Have not used either myself. I use a couple of Firefly 2s and love them. I have heard good things about the Mighty, and lots of people who hate the firefly always seem to recommend a mighty instead. Not sure if it is convection though, which I prefer.

It's heated by convection and conduction apparently
