I am running this monitor at 1280x1024, and the refresh rate is 85hz. Now, sometimes I can see it refreshing , and sometimes I can't. Why is this? Either way the refresh rate is the same, at 85hz.
I can see the screen flickering like if you were running it at a really low refresh rate, only its not really low, its 85hz. (I use the function on the monitor's built in menu to see what the refresh rate is, FYI).
Do you have the right monitor drivers installed? Try setting the refresh rate manually instead of optimal in the display properties.(or the other way around if it's set to 85hz...) You could also try another video card or different drivers, or another monitor if you have one.
If nothing works, then either your video card or monitor is probably bad then.
