I bought a brand new 445xpro which had a bit of cosmetic damage (the montior itself functioned perfectly), so I asked Nokia (whose display division was bought by Viiewsonic) to cross ship a replacement. Though their service was great, they could only send refurbs as replacements for some reason, and each and every one they sent (5 tries) was unnacceptably flawed. My original monitor, with the scratch on the side is still sitting on my desk today, with no display problems, so ymmv.
