Nice... limit 2 though.

I'd make a joke about no HDMI is a dealbreaker, but I was tempted to pull the trigger on this. I'm looking to set up a 3 1440p monitor system this summer. Limit 2 IS a deal breaker, since I'd prefer to get 3 identical models.

Still, a brand name 27" QHD IPS monitor with DP and Dual-Link DVI for under $350 is a great deal.

If you keep an eye out, this monitor goes up for this price from Woot on the regular.

A regular temptation.

Not like that one is hard to work around.. Have one sent to your work under a friends account. If you really want it the limit of 2 should not stand in your way.

It's about time these monitors get toward a more realistic price. Korean monitors have proven the actual worth of a 27" IPS panel.

With all the anti-trust lawsuits against memory and HDD manufacturers, and even panel manufacturers, I'm surprised there aren't any against computer monitor manufacturers.

low end ones are cheap, that's why. as they get better, price exponentially rises.

A good deal, but keep in mind that woot.com sells best buy returns and refurbs. You very likely will NOT get a new product. Worse yet, you may get one with a slight defect. Returns usually happen for a reason. I bought a GTX 660 from woot once and aside from coming only in a plain white box, it was defective out of the box. Artifacts on the desktop at stock settings.

That's something to consider when you can get a price comparable Korean WHQD for not much more.

FYI there is a MassDrop on the Monoprice 27" with a pixel perfect guarantee for $339 I believe.

Only DVI-D though, no DP.

https://www.massdrop.com/buy/monoprice-monitor

"Featured on Massdrop at one third the price of high-end branded monitors with the same specs; what else do you need to know?...This Monoprice 27” IPS uses the exact same A+ grade panels as Apple and HP."

Pretty much says it all. Monoprice is doing there small part to drive panel prices down. Otherwise consumers were content to pay these outrageously bloated prices for computer monitors.

I'll keep my eye out for another Woot sale of these... but I see the only control on them is brightness.

I just bought 2 X-Stars from Dream-seller. For a 3 monitor setup, I don't need them to all be the same... I just need the primary to support DisplayPort, now.

As VirtualLarry pointed out, this is available on Newegg and right now it is 20% off with coupon code EMCPFWC37 making it $335.99 with free shipping (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824276053).

I bought this monitor from Woot about 5 months ago for ~$350, and for the price I'm very happy with it. You can't do a hardware calibration but you can do a software calibration. Since I don't have any calibration hardware I just used the ICC profile that tftcentral provides (http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/icc_profiles.htm#h). It works well enough for me since I'm not doing any professional work with this monitor. I'd suspect anyone else looking for a monitor at this price isn't either. I mainly game and code. If you get one that is made in 2012 or later it should be a v2 (which is definitely what you want).

I'd suggest steering clear of the Monoprice monitor on Massdrop. The monitor is pretty bad and Massdrop doesn't really have their stuff together. I originally got the Monoprice monitor from Massdrop but was never told it was shipped and it ended up getting stolen. I eventually got my money back, thankfully, and in the end I'm super happy that all that actually happened because then I ended up getting this HP monitor instead. I think our very own Chris Heinonen from AnandTech would agree with me that the HP is a much better monitor and for the same price as the Monoprice one you might as well get the HP.

Well I'm impressed with my Korean X-Star monitors. Of course, I've never owned an IPS or PLS panel before, but geez... I'm sure the HP monitor looks great, I think the main question might be the response time - if you aren't a snobby "pro gamer" type, and regular users seem to be fine gaming on it, then it's a great deal. The anandtech review seems to indicate the gaming for us mortals will be ok on the HP display.
