Refurb? Epox 8rda+ $49.00

This is from the epox.com web site, and I am guessing they are getting rid of these because the are obsolete, not refurbs, but *I DO NOT KNOW THAT FOR SURE*.

I bought the 1.1 rev. of this board from NewEgg for $71.50 OTD to build my first system in July or August '03 and I am still using it. I just put in a AMD XP-M 2400, and am currently running it at 11.0 x 200 with no extra cooling or voltage adjustments. I haven't even tried testing the limits yet, but I am very happy with this board.

There are other boards for sale too, but I have no experience with them. See Epox USA Main Page.

It's the older 333FSB version. Mine just died.

If you must, you can find 400FSB nForce2 boards for less than that- I just purchased the K72N Delta-L refurb for $45 shipped.

How can you tell? People, like me, got a 400MHz capable board even though it was sold as 333MHz. The way to identify if it was 400 was to look down through the NB cooler and see if the chip had any silver on it. If I remember correctly, silver meant 333 and black meant 400.

I suppose you can take a chance, but the description says 333FSB, so if you don't get the 400FSB you're SOL.

Avoid the 333 mhz version, they have bad capacitors. This is a well know problem. I am sending mine in for rma repairs because of 6 of them being leaky and at risk of exploding. Just the cost of shipping is going to cost me $25 for the rma repairs.

rev 1.0 used the original nForce 2 chip, rev 1.1 and higher used nForce 2 Ultra 400, at least from my experience that's what i've seen. I have a 1.1 and it's identified as a Ultra 400
