Refurb Hitachi "Grade A" 21" Monitors $179 shipped "Grade B" for $149 shipped

I ordered two of these bad boys, and couldn't be happier.

Monitors are nice and bright, no blurring at all viewing at 1280x1024. Text is crisp, and game graphics are awesome.

Sweet..very good customer support. They accidentally sent me the wrong power cord (funky plug) and are now sending me a replacement. I'm glad I got my monitor from them.

Freakin amazing, the best I could find on refurbed 21" was $330, with $50ish of the price for shipping.

I also bit on one of the remaining Grade "A" monitors. First that PNY geforce4 (128 mb 8x 250/513!!!) at best buy and now this. The feeling in my stomach will disappear once I receive the monitor but until then...3 (check that, 2) of the Grade "A" monitors left as of right now.

6 when I bought, I was gonna debate it but when I saw $5 shipping I went for it. Even if it ends up crappy I can sell it on campus for more than what it cost.

Edit: Sold out now. I figured the anandtech effect would take hold.

Recieved email today saying they had 10 more grade a on site
I thought why not and ordered 2 based on high praise from everyone who has recieved one.
We will see how it goes this time maybe they actually have them in stock and not on the way.
Now out of stock.

No they're not flat. It took me a bit to get used to the..curviness after my old flat 17". Also took me a while to get used to the HUGENESS.

Here's my update. Scott Moat, the business owner I believe, replied to my mail about the condition the monitor I received. He indicated that he would send a replacement Grade A monitor out ASAP along with a call tag to return the first one. I did not even have to ask. This is what was offered right up front. I just received a tracking number from him this morning already.

At this point, I would freely offer up the opinion that the customer service provided by this retailer is as good as any buyer could ask for. Yes, I was disappointed with the first monitor, but, he is making it right at his expense and time without any hassle whatsoever. Unless he showed up at my house and waxed my truck and painted the garage, I don't know what more he could do to prove they want the people spending money with them to be anything but satisfied customers.

Yep.. there has been a PRICE INCREASE for the "grade A' monitors, NOW $169.99 + $4.99 s+h
Their supposed to get some grade "A's" but their costs went up ??
Sigh, this deal gets more complicated all the time.

Got mine today, packed pretty good, box was in good shape upon delivery and both the power and pin cords were inside, looks pretty good on the outside and after setting it up I am very happy with it, especially for the price.

Mine was made in June 1999 and has a very very slight amount of discoloration, nothing terrible but if you put common pc stuff next to it you see its a bit darker, heck might even be that way new I can't say but to me it is no big deal at all, screen is nice and clean with no visable burn-in anywhere or abnormalities. Viewable screen size diag measurement is just over 20.2 inches, depth from back of unit to front screen is only 17 and a half inches (even my junkie 15 inch is almost that deep at 16 and a half inches) so the footprint on my desk isn't too much difference yet the screen is HUGE compaired to the 15 incher.

Glad I saw this and jumped in on it, just hope it doesn't conk out on me after 31 days ...

But seriously looks good and to me it was a great deal and a nice upgrade from my old 15 inch.

Also just got mine, packed well as mentioned above. Looks beautiful, I can almost justify getting another one of the Grade "B"'s (mine is Grade "A") but an lcd will be the next monitor purchase far into the future. Provided this thing lasts, considering my Gateway Vivitron 17 inch has survived dropping, flipping over during car trips over the course of 5 years, I think this thing will be around a long time. Case is as advertised, looks like it's new. Allthingstech was great, shipped when advertised and delivered it to St. Louis in 2 days from MN.

got mine today, I need to adjust the color settings as when I played some CS it was very dark but after I messed around with the contrast and what not it looked great. I got the grade "a" and am very pleased with it.
