This is looks like a nice item but the refurbished title make me a little afraid of the quality.

3-month warranty and less than half price and people are still scared?!?

Is there an organized Club of you guys who's main job is to post "EEK refurb!!" whenever they see a Hot Deal about it?

Yeah really, it's not like they're trying to sell refurbs for the same price as new... By the way great deal. I picked one up. Fed-Ex 2 day was the same as ground for $8. Hope it's as advertised. The Leadtek 6800GT was 2nd best only to the Gainward 6800GT.

Almost makes me want to revamp by AGP rig. But I gotta hold on, 3.6GHz P4 is more than enough and Conroe is coming in a few months...

I ordered last night right when this thread was posted...showed as in-stock...got the email that order was approved and order was processing.

just got an email a few hours ago that stated the following:

I still haven't received a cancellation email, so mine musta gone through. I posted the HD, but I think I was 2nd in ordering it.

dang, well congrats if ya'll get it. i really really needed this card oh well...so is my email isn't saying i cant order a substitute card (similar 6800gt) for the same price, right?

Doesn't imply that to me, but it was a very nicely worded apology. I guess this chipset is still very popular.

i had one of those Gainward 6800GT cards from back in the day... that thing was amazing, except the part where it started artifacting like crazy and then the company told me to contact my reseller where i bought the card from because the investor base pulled all their stock out of Gainward and gave no support for the USA anymore.

but ~$80 for that card is pretty good... nice find! even though mwave is out of stock

I just received the email at 6pm today. Why would it take them 2 days to process and then tell me it wasn't available? Something is telling me it was a price mistake they just don't have the heart to honor. I was the 1st or 2nd person to order this card, and if I wasn't able to get it then they must not be honoring the sale??

No I haven't gotten the cancelation email yet. Maybe they just had one they had to get rid of. Monarch does the same thing with single cards they sell as refurbs or "not new'. I have bought a few of those and seen the add go down immediately after. I guess MWave just doesn't have a site that's automated in that way. I'll keep you guys up to date when/if I receive the card.

have you checked the status of your order on mwave's page? it should have shipped out by now, so they should have a tracking number on your mwave order page. if not, then chances look grim. but i hope you get one...it was a great deal

I checked the order status on their site. They don't list it as being shipped yet but they don't list the order as canceled either. In the "notes" section this is what's stated -

05/30:Your order has been verified, we are processing it at this time. Thank you for shopping with us.

I think they would have canceled my order by now if they weren't going to send it out. We'll see............

That's exactly what my order status was the second after I ordered it all the way up til a few hours after they cancelled it. My order was 'approved' and verified immediately after I ordered. Have they hit your credit card?

Just checked the cc. There is a posted transaction for $97.37 by MWave on 5-30. Not just a "temp". I'm feel'n pretty good abut this now................
