then you may get lucky. My online banking account shows the $91.36 under "CHECK CARD AUTHORIZATIONS" with a date of 5/30, still no removal on my authorization. I replied to the cancellation email asking "What video card can I get to replace the Leadtek 6800GT?". They better not suggest a 128mb 6600GT......

heh, will do. I'm expecting them to either totally ignore my email or to send me an automated response.

i got this email "Mwave will cancel the order.
Thank you Multiwave Direct"

but they charged my bank account for the $90.36, posted on 5/31/06, no longer an authorization, an actual charge. So how does that work? Isn't that sorta against the law to take money for an item and then cancel the order without approval from customer? I thought that once money was exchanged a deal was made.

They still haven't canceled my order. They haven't shipped it either. You would think they would hussle considering I paid for 2 day air. Its looking less optimistic by the day.

I'm pissed that they charge my card (not just authorization), and yet cancel my order. If money is exchanged then it's a deal, you can't just cancel an order due to pricing error or item being "discontinued" after you have already taken the money....

you should definitely call them up and give them a piece of your mind. that's really foul what they did.

fortunately for me I used the 'bill me later' option, so I was never charged anything.

just seems kinda shady how they did all of us in this transaction. I kinda expected more from mwave

Can u frigin believe it! They just now are telling me they're out of stock! Today, 6-5! What complete f'n jerks. They bill my cc and wait what, a week? Meanwhile they tell everyone else who ordered after me that they're out(leading me to believe I ordered in time). I shouldn't be surprised but man.......

that's total bs. They weren't OOS, they were just offering too good a price or a price error. I'll bet as soon as they realized the price, told us they were out of stock and let their employees buy them all up. it's not right to charge the cc, keep the money a couple days then refund the amount without some sort of reimbursement. an automated apology email won't suffice.

Pretty sure it's illegal for them to chrage you until they have a product ready to ship out. I would call them and point that out, and then complain to the BBB regarding this.
