They are listing about 100 mbs, various brands, lots in the $30s, most less than $50.
For Athlon XP & 64.

As usual they are suppossed to be barebones, untested returns, you have to look up the info, may not work, so YMMV.

Personally I've bought four refurbs from them and all worked fine.

And $1 shipping. And link

The pictures shown are from the NEW version of this item. If you purchase this refurbished product you will receive an OEM BAREBONE, meaning it is just the item itself. Accessory items are NOT INCLUDED with refurbished products. Accessories are shown in the pictures so that customers will know what is missing from the item.

So I guess no I/O back plates with these? How would we go about getting one if not included?

same here, the last 2 motherboards i received were just the board only, before that, all the ones i got came complete.

i bought an sis board the only week with onboard Xabre 200 64Mb Video card for $19 + $1 shipping, and got a PM800 chipset m/b yesterday for $22 shipped

and the motherboards are all tested after being returned, never had a bad motherboard from them refurb, and i've bought about a dozen in the last 2 years.

That's been proven untrue time and again. I can't remember exactly where but there have been posts on refurbs coming from newegg that were DOA and or mangled.

Note - I'm not trying to bash, I'm just mentioning what I've seen in the past. Untested returns.

I can't speak for the mobos, but just ordered a refurb ATI x700 and she purrs like a kitten. No extras though, it looked oem, just came in a little white box. Two guys before me though that ordered cards got all the extras so you never now and really no way to know before you order it.

I forgot what but I bought something refurb from them and got the acessories, too, although they had this disclaimer.

Personally I'd rather buy used from a private party which tells me what is included.

The few times I ordered refurb Newegg MB they were fine, except one did not have the backplate. I don't remember anyone ever getting a bad board recently. How about it - has anyone recently gotten a bad board?

I ordered an MSI refurb board that works perfectly, no accy's. For I/O backplates, contact the manufacturer. MSI will ship you one free, just use their online tech support thingie to submit your "problem" and include your mailing address; they'll reply saying the item will be shipped out UPS Ground and you'll get a tracking #.
Go MSI and NewEgg

Yes, same here. I have heard too many problems with these to take a chance on wasting too much time on them.

This topic continues to cycle over the years. Here's my experience.

I ordered several refurb mobo's from Newegg about 2-3 years ago and won't consider it anymore. Although each board seemed OK at first, everyone of them except for an Epox had quirks that I could never could track down regardless of flashing with new bioses or downloading new drivers. Considering the time it takes to build up a system from scratch, I don't think it is worth the risk. Spend the extra $ to get a new one. You have a much better chance of bringing up a stable system. After all, you never know why the boards returned..there was probably a good reason because the user generally has to pay for return shipping and put up with the hassles and inconveniences. If you review some of the older posts you will find some very cynical remarks about what Newegg considered a refurbished board. Things may have improved but then again...its not worth the risk unless you just want something to tinker with.

I've order 4 refurb mobos from newegg over the past couple years. Never had a problem with any of them. 3 were just the board and I got lucky with one and received all the accessories too.

I've ordered 3 or 4 refurbed mobos from newegg and all but 1 has worked fine, and the only exception was a kt333 board which had defective onboard sound. It's still chugging away 100% stable in my wife's PC and it was only $22.
