I've never watched this until just now. At first I was put off by season 1- slow pace and way too many characters thrown at once. I often compared it to how Breaking Bad is far superior in terms of 'sucking you in'.
But I finally got into it. Season 2 is a ballad of its own, a time piece if you will. One season, one complete story from start to finish. Well done. But I'm not here.
I'll get to the point of this thread: I am totally blown away to find out that Stringer Bell and McNulty of The Wire are actually Brits, with full-on British accents. Similar to House, I would've never guessed. Amazing acting.
What a trip.
