When I ask God a question, I never get a direct answer. Never God speaking to me, or stuff like that. I actually think it's hilarious that people claim that God has appeared to them. If so, they would be dead. Asking for that is asking to die, though in a glorious way. lol I think about things, and when I ask a question, an answer usually comes from the Bible. There is a reason that it is called the Word of God. Or sometimes, someone will randomly say something that is relevant, and I will know that I have my answer. But like I said, it usually is from the Bible.

Many people in the Old Testament and New Testament offended the religious leaders and those who followed them at the time when they claimed God spoke to them. By claiming God spoke to them the religious leaders felt belittled, angry, and jealous like Cain when his offer was refused.
Instead of humbling themselves and listening to those sent by God they acted out in the spirit of Cain and sought to kill those that claimed God talked to them since only they are allowed to be spoken to by God.

Atheism as well. Communists justified killing/jailing religious people because they didn't think like them, even though they were part of the society just like them, hard working/law-obeying, etc.. Oppression of religion was one of reasons soviet union fell apart, and I believe china will fall for same reason. (tho it will probably be much bloodier)

Sorry, I wasn't clear. People have been spoken to by God, but when you see God, you die. Personally, I think that since God's Word has been written, He has chosen to speak that way to them.

People who think they talk to God really should seek medical help. Seriously, they clearly suffer from some time of mental illness. It is no different than a grown man having imaginary friends.

They should be rounded up and thrown in the psychiatric ward, after all if God exists why would He waste His time with such fools rather He would reveal Himself to the wise and intelligent of the world who can truly understand and appreciate Him.

Other than that, I'm very spiritual. I'm not into organized religion and churches... been there, done that, find it to be way too clique-ish and political for my tastes.
I believe that we are more than just our bodies.... there is an energy, a soul, a force within us that is immortal--- energy doesn't cease to exist, it changes form.
A good movie that explains much of how I see things is called "What The Bleep Do We Know?".
If you've watched it and agreed with it, then we are probably on the same page.

So has atheism. In fact, I think that I could use almost any moral to justify any number of wrong things. So, do you, as an atheist, have morals? If so, where did they come from? Not yourself, there are definite absolutes, such as don't murder. If humans did not come up with them, who did? Did they just happen? Oh, I remember, an invisible, undetectable force called morality bursted out of the big bang, and affects the universe. Too bad we can't remove it. So?...

I have been told this being an Agnostic. But my take is I have to be truthful to myself, to do otherwise would be hypocritical, and of course if there is a god he would know this
Far too many people follow the religion they choose (or whatever religion chooses them) and not honest with themselves, just doesn't work for me. Deep down I don't believe and will not pretend to.
