I am aware of the verses, I'm saying no one goes to church/mosque/temple and gets told to kill other people because they don't follow the same faith

But the historical genocide remains a celebrated example and justification for the modern state. It does not need to be said... many will go to extremes to keep what they have or take from others.

Yes but I think it was evolutionary advantageous for humans to invent god, at least for awhile. I've read some interesting theories on just this and it makes a lot of sense.

Now the concept could be considered an evolutionary disadvantage or simply outdated thanks to the miracle of science and information technology but for millennia the concept of a higher power was likely an advantage for the beginnings of civilization and culture.
