Only thing that I think the useful idiots would like about years of shut down would be the IRS essentially going out of business but the next question would be the Military and how do we equip and pay them.

Maybe CBP will get pissed about not getting paid & stage a sick-out. That would be glorious.

All the welfare queen southern states will have problems too

GOP senators were conspicuously absent from Trump's little ramble session. They're going to start feeling the heat this month when the more painful consequences kick in.

Let's see how those people feel once the pain comes home. Oh, wait - those "decent" Republicans should be stepping up to end this soon. lol.

One thing I don't think people understand is that the government shutting down isn't just national parks being closed or trash building up on the National Mall. It's almost every interaction with a federal agency a person or business might have. If you run a business and you need a permit from the federal government for whatever reason well, too bad. If you're trying to get a loan from the SBA to start a business, too bad. If you're a contractor who has business with an agency you had built into your quarterly budget, too bad. Etc, etc.

Trump confirmed that he threatened to shut the government for years.

Another thing I didn't realize until the other day is that the 800,000 figure is federal EMPLOYEES. Those people will eventually get all their missed income paid back if history is any lesson.

There are also hundreds of thousands of federal contractors-people who do the same work but are employees of private firms contracted by the government. Those people won't recover their missed income. I presume they are eligible for unemployment comp, but that's it.

All because The Donald is having a hissy fit.

And Trumplethinskin thinks this is what won't make him look foolish. Lol.

We don't need a wall, we need a baby gate for the president.

Edit: That's actually a good scandal name if something ever catches up to Trump. Babygate.

There are GOP members already starting to crack as they know they are on the losing end of this. It won't go on long and they will start publicly pushing McConnell to end it.

Not all of them will. Then there are contractors etc... who are also losing on top.

aaaannnndddddd.....all the missed invoices the Government pays late have fees attached to them. Met a guy at a xmas party who does budget work for some government conservation program. He said the shut down that happened in 2012(?) they paid $84k in late fees and fines on a $500k contract that got paid late.

Also everybody not getting paid is proud and wants Trump to win. LOL.

I don't know about the validity of the image but if true I have to laugh. Red states look to be fucking themselves over yet again.
For decades now, they never seem to catch on. Better than acting/thinking like a liberal though...
