It's hard not to when you're terrible at conveying meaning.

Do you think the Dems only started opposing the wall because Trump wanted it?

He apparently believes the Democrats would otherwise give in to hostage taking if only it weren’t Trump or the wall.

He appears to have forgotten just a few years back when Democrats also refused to ransom the government over domestic policy demands by Republicans but apparently that doesn’t count.

So basically ignore the substantive arguments and ignore history. All must yield to the #bothsides.

Annnnnd democrats have supported the building of the wall in the past only to change their tune because ....Trump. It's political grandstanding and nothing more.

Why do you and the Republicans stand on the same side of this issue as the Nazis?

Edit: you did not think this through, haha.

I didn't know Nazi's built walls to keep people out. Please educate me.

Who didn't think this through? haha

The Republicans didn't even support it when they controlled all three branches of government, you ignorant slut.

Uhmmm, the Nazis built and planned to have a bunch of different walls to keep people out. The Atlantic Wall, the short lived eastern wall, the ideas of the Urals as a natural wall to keep people out, etc. Durrrrrr.

Regardless, you tried a stupid argument where people who opposed Trump’s dumb wall were siding with MS-13. By that logic you are siding with neo-Nazis as they support the wall.

It’s a dumb argument and you shouldn’t have made it.

Pretty much. As has been pointed out they were for it before it was Trumps. This is a battle of symbolism. There’s merits both for an against it but though are largely irrelevant for Trump and Dems. This is all about symbolism.

Not dumb if you align. You (just like MS-13) likes the easy access open border for drugs and illegal activity.

You, just like the Nazis, want pointless and ineffective border security because it signals that you don’t like brown people.

You can't get anything right.

Trump in his address said that Sen. Charles E. Schumer “has repeatedly supported a physical barrier in the past along with many other Democrats. They changed their mind only after I was elected.”

Schumer, Hillary Clinton and many other Democrats voted for the Secure Fence Act of 2006, which authorized building a fence along about 700 miles of the border between the United States and Mexico. It passed 283-138 in the House, with 64 Democrat votes, and 80-19 in the Senate, with 26 Democrat votes.

But the fence they voted for is not as substantial as the wall Trump is proposing. Trump himself has called the 2006 fence a “nothing wall.”

Found it, good analysis

https://www.npr.org/2019/01/08/6831...nce-on-a-border-wall-turning-into-a-liability

INSKEEP: It's a symbol.
KRIKORIAN: And, in fact - well, it's not just a symbol. I mean, we actually do need some more border barriers in various places. We have some. We need more. But it was a shorthand. It was a way to tell people - look; I'm not the usual lying politician. I'm actually serious about this. And it was effective as that. The problem is that now that, you know, the administration's been around for a couple of years, you have to follow through to some degree. And the Democrats have determined - accurately, I think - that the president's focus on the wall was a vulnerability, was an opportunity for the Democrats to deny him that in an attempt, basically, to show his impotence
INSKEEP: And now he is desperate. Or you fear he will be desperate to give up anything to get the wall?
KRIKORIAN: Yeah. I've always kind of worried about that, that he was going to give the Democrats far more than really was warranted in exchange for the wall. Because more border barriers, like I said, they're important. But there are other things that are more important, things like plugging loopholes in our asylum laws, E-Verify and what have you.
It's kind of interesting. The president, on the one hand, really is, I think, desperate to have a success here. But the other side is that the Democrats really do seem to be obsessed in denying him a win on this. And the question is, is that obsession almost Captain Ahab-like, from "Moby Dick," to get the orange whale? Is that going to be a bigger problem for them, or is the president's desperation to get the wall going to be the bigger issue?

I encourage you to read through or listen to it, it’s a good summation.

So a self declared anti-immigrant conservative activist says the Democrats are to blame?
Wow. Shocking. So informative.

You, just like the Nazis, want pointless and ineffective border security because it signals that you don’t like brown people.

Effectiveness of a border wall has been proven throughout centuries as a tried and true method of keeping invaders out. I don't suspect such painfully obvious solutions to parade across the minds of liberals so you get a pass on not thinking of it first. However after being educated on the topic you should feel ashamed for intentionally ignoring these millennia old facts just for politics.

BUT MAH POLITICAS!
