aka Veteran's Day in the USA.
This is a solemn day in which to remember those who fought and died for our current freedoms. In the Commonwealth Countries there traditions and ceremonies that are followed to honour their sacrifice.
On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month we have 2 mins of silence. Those in Commonwealth countries also wear a red poppy as a symbol of that remembrance.
Remembering and honouring those who serve and those who are no longer with us should be a year-round activity and not one that is limited to one day a year.
Perhaps watch some of these ceremonies from Canada, Britain or Australia to see how others pay homage to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
Lest We Forget.
