Removing paint overspray from concrete

What is the best way to remove paint overspray from a concrete floor? Would lacquer thinner work? I don't want to damage or discolor the concrete.

i don't think organic vapor cartridges protect against methylene chloride so meh

how badly do you need to do this

there is citrus stripper that aways works, takes a little more elbow grease and applications but it works if you need to. apply wait..scrub away.

the other stripper if you read up on it is is heinous, the toxic threshold limit is below your ability to detect the odor...wonderful stuff.

Apply a liquid or aerosol paint thinner to overspray then

What type of paint? Oil based, latex based, masonry primer?

A good high psi pressure washer will erase just about anything from concrete. You can even etch your name in the concrete if you have a pencil tip and high enough pressure. (Or, even higher pressure, cut the concrete in half; but most people don't possess that strong of pressure washers - there's little need.... heyyyyyy, I just thought of a way to get rid of that stump in my yard.

Also, muriatic acid might work.

Isn't that used to dissolve grout between masonry joints? Might be bad for finished concrete.

Another vote for pressure washer. I even have a cheap one that only does 1200PSI (cost like $99 at Sears) that worked for dried actual spray paint, not just light over spray. (nephews and nieces came to visit and decided to start coloring my backyard) It was only a few days old when I got it out with just water pressure. I did try using some paint solvents/thinners, but they didn't seem to any better than water alone at different angles.

Won't you want to be careful with any solvents so as to not weaken the concrete? I don't know which ones do it but concrete is not magic. I'd go with the pressure washer first. If the concrete is extremely smooth you can take a 50 grit belt sander do it. I did that the other day to great effect. If it's broomed you'd need to try the pressure washer or chemicals.
