Replacing Fans in Antec Power Supply.....

I'm not sure which specific model Power supply I have, but its a 350w antec which came in my Antec Sx1035 case. I was poking around in the case yesterday, and realized that after putting silencers in the 4 fan slots, and a panaflo m1a on the processor, the main source of noise left in there are the 2 power supply fans. Can these be replaced with something quieter, that wouldn't reduce airflow?

A lot of people have replaced their PSU fans with Panaflo L1A's. There's plenty of information about it in other threads...just do a search.

I'd get rid of the inside fan which contributes to noise and also, from my experience, doesn't enhance cooling. I modded my two Enermax's with Panaflo L1A's, removed the inside fan and covered the opening with a 92mm mesh screen. Not only were they much quieter, they also seemed to reduce case temperatures a bit. I'd guess it would be the same for the Antec.

Really, the inside fan doesn't help? I would have figured with it pulling air from right about the cpu heatsink it would help the cpu temps.

I'm only reporting my experience. My speculation is that the heat is rising into the PSU anyway and that the two fans somehow create turbulence and a less smooth air flow.
