Are we forgetting about the blocked field goal that could've won it for OU?
They still had an opportunity to win. A good team seizes those opportunities.

News stories that start with false statements in the first sentence FTL.
What led to the Ducks victory was OK's inability to stop them from scoring the winning TD.
they should never had the ball to begin with. did you even watch the game?
then when they got the ball, they had another bad replay decision.
Whether the Ducks should have had the ball is completely irrelevant. The fact is that isn't why they won the game.
And the only rational way to have sports competitions, is for both sides to accept that the refereee's calls define reality within the context of the game, it doesn't matter if they are right or wrong in some other context, they are right by definition within the game. So by definition, the Ducks should have had the ball, because that was the call.
If teams and fans don't accept that going in, they should forget about sports, because any other way of looking at it will ultimately destroy the game.

It's one thing for a team to not capitalize on it's own opportunities...it is another for an outside entity to steal away that team's chances because they can't make the correct calls.
I don't have a dog in this fight (Bama fan) but I'm just amazed that between the officials on the field and the official in the booth, the correct call did not occur.

Bad officiating is just a part of sports. As long as no team is intentionally favored. Everybody uses the same refs. OU whiners should STFU.

HAHAHAHA you don't know jack about college football do you?
Yet you continually spout your mouth off...
So what you're saying then is that the refereeing was rigged? And would that apply to all games or just Pac-10? :roll:Originally posted by: shuan24

Nope. If anything, this debacle will ruin Oregon's chances in the rankings this year.Originally posted by: DLeRium
Who cares. Go Oregon. Go Pac-10. The higher Oregon climbs, the more we (California) will climb when we slaughter them at home soon... =]
