I'd assume the cult classic with Emilio since the car with the dead aliens flies off into space at the end. Just a classic movie. Think I am going to go watch it right now!

No connection, but a similar concept on a virtual state of mind.

Quaid (the Governator) was supposed to have some false memories implanted to give him a virtual fantasy (spy, sexy girlfriend, trip to Mars) at the start of the movie. It's been argued by some fans was actually a memory implant/dream all the time.

Remy (Jude Law) at the end of the movie was hooked up to a neural network since he sustained severe brain damaged. This allowed him to live the rest of his life in a dream.

Funny... I was thinking that as I watch Total Recall! :sneaky:

I'm sure whoever wrote the sceenplay intentionally maintained that ambiguity throughout the movie. And the last lines spoken by Quaid and his romantic interest rather unsubtly drive that possibility home.
