Not good. Poorly handled by Asus and the Chinese authorities and the woman's lawyer. $5,000,000 was a tad high for a starting damages price, IMHO. I might have asked for $10,000. And threatening to go public if payment wasn't made was also a very rookie move.
If we have someone from Asus on these boards I hope they respond. I was just getting ready to pull the trigger on buying an Asus motherboard. And if Asus is doing this, what are the rest of the Chinese doing? If we can't trust our dog food and milk to them can we trust them to build and fix proper computers?
