Care to explain what happened with all these prior assassination attempt on Bin Nayef and why the us media completely ignored or never even knew about them until years later? Does that sound like a totalitarian state media suppressing the truth to you? Why would it be any different now, if such a thing were to happen again? Edit: Your quoted WP article is careful to describe this as the only "serious" assignation attempt in years. I guess the only "serious" assassination attempt to the WP are ones where the target is injured so badly he has to be on so many pain killers that he cannot even conduct the required obligations of a saudi regent (not much).
