repost POLL: How much $ do u bring home after taxes?

Please post how much u make per year before taxes, and how much you actually get paid bi-weekly, or monthly after taxes.

For example, make 65k/yr, but take home pay every 2 weeks is $1700.

Hey, not bad for 2 hours of TAing a week at the princely wage of $5.15 an hour.

I get two hours 'preparation time' so that's not bad. Covers gas and beer for a week.

Under 1k base (bring home, 2 weeks) for me, but I get some awesome quarterly and year-end bonuses.

I work part-time as a dealership slave tech... *sigh* paying the dues. I need to get my @$$ into a decent independent shop soon just to get some REAL experience.

Almost keep every dollar but medicare. Where I work is subject to a 403B retirement plan which eliminates social security. I claim 24 exemptions which releases me from any federal liabity. I'm not going to tell you how much i make..but I've been an engineer going on 10 years.

Yup I lose lots of money every year as my failure as a businessman and pay lots of mortgage intrest cause I can never actually manage to own anything

my other deductions besides taxes take out alot too, 401(k) and medical savings and my share of insurances for the family, etc, etc
