Too good to be true.

One of your own, eh?

It's a shame others are fooled by McCain.

it should have just been Romney debating himself, all the others don't have a chance and therefore shouldn't have been invited

You are joking, aren't you? I'm predicting close to a 3 way split, with McCain getting the nomination. As much as the media wants to think, it is not a 2 man race.

McCain is starting to remind me of Guiliani.

Rudy's answer to everything was "911".

McCain is almost as bad with his "leader of the largest navy squadron" and "the surge" thingy.

Yeah, he's becoming a broken record.

He has 3 phrases now. "Foot soldier in the Reagan Revolution", "Leader of the largest Navy squadron..." and "Put my career on the line for the surge"

If he keeps it up, he will join 9/11 in irrelevancy.

I agree Romney changes position so often he could have easily debated his present self with his past self and thrown in his future self to be marginalized.

I usually vote Republican, but if McCain gets the nomination I will not vote for him. He is a Jerk and makes himself seem as if he has no more experience then POW. Who Cares? Heck, I would almost vote for Hillary over him (though she is pretty scary). and would definitely vote for Obama over him. Lets pray that the election doesn't come down to Hillary Vs McCain, that would truly be a sad day for Americans everywhere

In that case obama is a broken record for continually saying change, special interests, etc

a political junkie will immediately pick up on repetition. The candidates know that for many people, they only really pay attention once or twice. Give them a break

Indeed all candidates have repetition. Paul is extremely repetitive, but he almost is always tying it into relevant topics. Paul's biggest problem is that he tries to inject so many references to his ideas at once, that it's just a few phrases, and the general public doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about. But that's another story.

The difference with McCain is that stuff like "my friends", "my dear, dear friends" is fluff, like "at the end of the day". It doesn't mean anything.

For example, this is something Edwards would say:

"let me answer the question, let me answer the question, the American people want a President that will help the poor working poor people, and at the end of the day that's what the American people want for this country."

All of this just means "I'm Edwards, I want to look like I fight poverty AGAIN."

The difference is repetitive fluff cushioned by more fluff (most politicians), and a difference in policy with substantial actions supporting that politicians expressed belief. I'm no Obama supporter, but when he owned Clinton in that last debate regarding foreign policy, it wasn't typical political fluff (Clinton's response was though, lawl). I don't think Obama is as consistent like Paul or Kucinich, but he does have some substance to his rhetoric.

If the general public doesn't get what Ron Paul is saying, that is because they are so brain dead with their cell phones, Ipods, and Xboxes shoved in their ears and asses that they haven't got a clue as to what a real American that talks truth looks like anymore.

These are totally brain dead Americans who have no clue what REAL FREEDOM in this country is suppose to be, or understand what their civil and constitutional rights are.

We really need to ashamed of our stupidity because it's stands at a EPIC proportion. When people in a country listen for and fall for all the BS of the people and then a man of real truth and integrity stands and speaks, and we can't see or hear this, then there is a REAL problem in that nation.

I think the problem is that there are far too many people out there that don't really look into platforms and just vote because they feel like it's the right thing to do. That makes elections determined by 30 second sound bytes. And when these people occasionally watch a debate and hear the same old crap and then Paul speak, Paul will talk about something they've never heard of before, and constantly interject other related topics.

For example, he'll talk about foreign policy and mid-sentence say something like ", and the dollar is dropping because the Feds print money,". The media/other candidates laugh in the mic and give smiles like Paul is insane, and it gives your average joe the impression that Paul is crazy.

Paul is the only fiscal conservative guy on the stage, and he knows a lot about Austrian economics because he has been studying it for ages, but people won't listen. It's like the same reason why people keep investing into Bubbles and wonder why they lost 80% of their retirement when it crashes (then they call the market unsafe/evil). It's the same reason why there's a mammoth of knowledge about how to lose weight effectively and prevent most diseases, but people don't want to put in the effort and rather buy fad diet books approved by their favorite celebrity.

I don't dispute the guy (Paul) is intelligent. But saying the USA should go back to the gold standard is probably the most extreme and ridiculous of his arguments.

I guess my understanding of this is because he thinks we print money from thin air with nothing to back it up, that's about all I know on it.

Well one thing is for certain all the other nominees talk trash, and it's to bad the American people can't be smart enough to read between the lines, but for those that are smart enough, we have to deal with the corrupt side that wants to maintain the power, that's the BIGGEST problem.

I say we need a good old fashion revolution to put the power back in the hands of the people, and damm straight our forefathers would of had one long ago...
