My daughter worked for Target one summer. In the business, they call it a "cart push". The thief fills up a shopping cart, waits for an opportune moment, and nonchalantly walks out the door with it hoping that staff and/or security don't notice them. She told me one night they caught a couple leaving the store with 2 shopping carts full of shit that was worth in excess of $2600.00

She said someone even tried to steal a basketball by dribbling it out the door, the idea apparently being that it was so obvious he must have paid for it.

Apparently she stole 279 items in one day, impressive. How da fuq? must have been small items like jewelry etc.
