The unprecedented obstructionism happened when Obama was in office, this is just more crying and moaning by morons who expect the country to mimic their issues with memory and integrity.

I would prefer Dems to not imitate the kind of obstruction the GOP did for 8 years, with the exception of the USSC. They stole a seat from Obama, and the voters who gave him that power were disenfranchised by McConnell and Co. Point of order, sorry asshats, sorry you have a problem with Dump's picks being 'delayed.'

Lets also not forget that in many cases the same ethics disclosures the GOP required when Obama was president before starting hearings were delayed. Mitch actually had the balls to complain about democrats holding up the process over paperwork when he did the same thing 8 years before.

IMO this kind BS is why people wanted a change. A change from the establishment to something, anything, else.

Fern

Yep, we were all clamoring for fascism. We wanted to elect a man with unimpeachably horrible character to burn it all the F-U-C-K down. He has spread the gas quite nicely, wanna bet if he ignites it?

TBH, I think if Obama had been in the race, he would have destroyed Trump. I and millions of other Americans preferred Obama to any other candidates in the race.

The "Party of NO!" is complaining because the Dems are using their tricks?

Dems are not just Obstructing though. They are vetting very problematic Candidates, some which have lied, some which appear to have committed illegal acts, some that don't seem fit to be the Head of anything.

Republicans/Democrats 2 sides of the same partisan coin. Maybe we can finally end the smarmy, holier than thou bullshit from the lefties in this forum complaining about obstructionism.

Repub obstructionism over the last 6 years was unprecedented in our history, culminating in doing the dirty to Merrick Garland in a profound show of partisan disrespect for him & for their Constitutional obligations.

Yet two weeks into the Trump presidency they're crying their eyes out about the evil obstructionist Democrats.

And you're enough of a shill to defend them.

Was the senate not privy to the polls during the time of Merrick Garland's nomination? Did they think that Hillary was going to appoint somebody a little more to their liking? Or were they so deluded (at the time, given the evidence) that they thought a republican nominee had a chance at winning the election? Or was this just an F-U to Obama and they were willing to play ball with Hillary?

are you fucking kidding me, Fern? "This kind of BS is why people wanted a change"...so they re-elected and further empowered the very people responsible for that very same BS?

Are you fucking serious with yourself or what?

If the Dems tried their hardest they couldn't approach ten percent of the obstructionism routinely practiced by the GOP throughout the Clinton and (especially) the Obama administrations.

Frankly, from the view of us in the public the Dem politicians are coming late to the show and half-assed for the most part. To be true GOP type obstructionists they should have been HELL NO at every tiny procedural step from the get-go, especially after Trump began announcing his joke of a Cabinet.

I feel sooooo bad for the GOP, caught in their own trap. Well at least they can prove government can't work-at least when they are in charge.

It was a nothing to lose gamble & a final "in yo face!" to the evil kenyan usurper.

So people voted for the party of obstruction because they hated obstruction?

It you were attempting to miss point you succeeded.

Both establishment 'parties' act the same. Many people are beyond tired of it. IMO, this is what Trump, a non-politician non-establishment type, took advantage of to gain an unlikely win in the election.

Republicans have set the standard for obstructionism, why all the crocodile tears for Democrats doing the same? No second term, birther/illegitimate candidate/unfit for office, no Supreme court appointment even considered/let the voters decide, Kenyon/Muslim/Terrorist/"BLACK". Did you hear a "LIAR" called out at the Inauguration, NO, guess the Left is just NOT meeting the Right's standard. " ALL HAIL OUR NEW LIAR IN CHIEF and let the MINISTRY OF TRUTH COUNT the yugh Inauguration crowd and not the Parks Department."

Non-establishment type....... are you for real? His cabinet is filled with billionaires. They have a combined net worth greater than the bottom 1/3 combined. If it isn't establishment, it is something infinitely worst. Who voted for a bunch of robber barons to run the government?

Uh, no.

Wealth does not make one an establishment type. Wealth is simply not the measuring stick for that. (In any case, you also miss the point. Cabinet members are not elected and are therefore irrelevant to the point I was trying to make.)

That's correct, the shoe is on the other foot and Democrats are adequately escalating things past what Republicans did before them.

you realize that 98% of the delays here are trump not actually appointing people on time, with piles upon piles of baggage that actually need to be vetted, right? This isn't even close to a real instance of Dems obstructing. not even close.

Strumpf hasnt' even appointed another 70%+ of positions that he needed to appoint last month.

Total incompetence from the Executive, but yet again: It's the Dem's fault! Do you guys ever get tired of being so catastrophically wrong?
